Calvary Bible Red Repeats as League Champions

With a combination of strong defense and a power-packed offense, Calvary Bible Red cruised through the playoffs to finish as undefeated League Champions. In the moments after the trophy presentation, coach Scott Radar acknowledged the on field accomplishments but said that even more important was the opportunity to be a witness for Christ and see the spiritual fruit of their outreach as men have given their hearts and lives to the Lord. He encouraged all teams to similarly reach out to friends of team members.

The full playoff bracket with results can be seen under Playoff Schedule.

Coaches Meeting Highlights

Softball coaches met on Thursday, 8/11, to discuss League business. The only motion made was to have playoff semi-finals start at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday night instead of on Saturday morning starting in 2012. This motion passed 10-8. Other discussion items included having Pinkerton maintain their fields after the school year, having Don Ball field chalked and miscellaneous issues with umpires.

About us

The Greater Nashua Men's Evangelical Softball League, also called the Church League, is a group of 21 churches supporting 24 teams that have banded together to enjoy competitive adult slow-pitch softball, fellowship with men from our own and other churches, and to be a witness to the life-saving power of Jesus Christ in our lives. Our League plays in Nashua (10 teams) and Derry (14 teams) primarily on Friday nights from late April through mid-August. For more information, browse the web site or contact the President.
