Calvary Christian Center East notified us at the last minute that they will not be able to field a team. The Nashua Division will contract to 8 teams. Southside Bible dropped out about a week before CCCE.

Orchard Fellowship expands to 2 teams (5/6)

Orchard Fellowship has expanded to 2 teams - Orchard Fellowship Red (existing team) and Orchard Fellowship White (new team). The Derry Division will remain at 15 teams since Southside Bible has dropped their team to offset this addition.

New Bylaw concerning 70 foot basepaths

The coaches approved a new Bylaw endorsing the ASA rule change to 70 foot basepaths on those fields with movable bases. Fields with permanent bases (Vets, Don Ball and Pinkerton) will not use the 70 foot basepaths but rather use the existing bases.

After a Friday night of play on the new longer basepaths (extended from 60 feet to 70 feet), some coaches have expressed concerns both that infield hits are now next to impossible as well as having different base paths at different fields since the change in basepath length makes a significant difference in the game. A motion has been made to return the basepath length to 60 feet for all games which will be voted on soon.

About us

The Greater Nashua Men's Evangelical Softball League, also called the Church League, is a group of 20 churches supporting 23 teams that have banded together to enjoy competitive adult slow-pitch softball, fellowship with men from our own and other churches, and to be a witness to the life-saving power of Jesus Christ in our lives. Our League plays in Nashua (8 teams) and Derry (15 teams) primarily on Friday nights from late April through mid-August. For more information, browse the web site or contact the President.
