We play to win others
The 2009 playoffs will feature the top 8 teams in each division. First round games will be played
against the corresponding seed in the opposite division (for example Derry 2 seed will face the
Nashua 7 seed). The coaches voted to change the playoff format in 2009 to be a
single-elimination tournament with a consolation game between the third and fourth place teams.
The first two rounds will played on consecutive Friday nights with the final two rounds
played on Saturday at Greeley Park in Nashua starting at 9:30 a.m. The winners of the third round
will advance to the championship game while the losers play a consolation game.
Teams will be seeded based on their records within their division using the tie-breakers
defined in the Bylaws. Then, the teams will be seeded
between divisions alternating Nashua and Derry division teams. The top seed will alternate
every year between divisions; Nashua has the top seed in 2009. The higher seed is the
home team. Seedings will be as follows
