I am the Way, the Truth and the Life The Greater Nashua Men's Evangelical Softball League ASA Home
We play to win others

The 2010 playoffs will include the top 9 teams in the Derry division and the top 7 teams in the Nashua division. First round games will be played against the corresponding seed in the opposite division (for example the Derry 2 seed will face the Nashua 7 seed). The format will be a single-elimination tournament with a consolation game between the third and fourth place teams. The first two rounds will played on consecutive Friday nights with the final two rounds played on Saturday in Derry (using Vets and Don Ball fields) starting at 9:30 a.m. The winners of the third round will advance to the championship game while the losers play a consolation game.

Teams will be seeded based on their records within their division using the tie-breakers defined in the Bylaws. The overall top seed will be the team with the best record in the League. If the division leaders are tied, then the top seed will be awarded to the team in the division that did not have the top seed the previous year i.e. the top seed will switch divisions. Nashua had the top overall seed in 2009. The remaining teams will be seeded between divisions alternating between division teams. The higher seed is the home team. The last overall seed will be the Derry 9th seed; the next to last overall seed will be the Derry 8th seed. Here is a sample seeding assuming Derry has the top overall seed (where N1 is the Nashua #1 seed and D6 is the Derry #6 seed):

   D1 - N1 - D2 - N2 - D3 - N3 - D4 - N4 - D5 - N5 - D6 - N6 - D7 - N7 - D8 - D9

Here is the bracket format.
